Hipkiss; includes a short bibliography ('A Short List of Books and Museums'). One of 999 copies (the entire edition), printed on specially made paper by the Marchbanks Press, New York, November 1929. Wear to extremities (chiefly to head and foot of spine, spine label, corners and edges); slight stains, rubbing and browning to covers; previous owner's bookplate on front attached endpaper and rubberstamps on front and rear endpapers; previous bookseller's printed paper label on front attached endpaper; slight shaking to few signatures; slight internal browning and/or foxing (chiefly to edges and preliminaries, generally unaffecting images); still a very serviceable copy of a fairly scarce item.229 b/w photographs; 55 b/w Illustrations from Line Drawings.
