About This Item
Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. First printing with Scribner's 'A' at copyright page. Green cloth with gilt titles, very good: clean and bright with light rubbing edgewear, faintly bumped spine tips. Spine cocked forward slightly. Binding sound. Dust jacket in poor condition, in two pieces; front panel and front inner flap split from the rest of the jacket at front inner hinge; heavy general edgewear with moderate chipping, and larger chips at spine tips and bottom fore-edge corner of back panel; scraping to front cover resulting in a few tiny holes, not affecting cover illustration. DJ cover price $3.50. Prior owner's information neatly inked to front paste down, dated 1942. Interior else clean, pages toned, text unmarked.
