About This Item
464 pages
This edition was probably published in the1840's-50's based on address of publisher.
This is a small format volume, approximately 6 inches by 4 inches. It has a number of engravings illustrating the text. Edges of text block are gilt. Decorative boards. Bumping and wear to board corners. Some wear to top and bottom of spine. Front and back boards are green, and on the front some of the design is in gold. The spine color has faded to light green/brown but the gold design and title are clear. Tissue guard for the engraving opposite the title page has ripped off, but is laid in. A fair amount of browning and foxing, but very readable text. Owner name in pencil on front pastedown endsheet, the number 25 written on top right of flyleaf. Some cracking at both front and back hinges, however overall this is a tight and nice antique copy of this book. Please see photos!
