Richard Bentley, 1846. 1st edn. 2 vols. 8vo (8½ x 5½ins). Contemporary half blue calf on marbled paper-laid boards, spines gilt ruled in six compartments with gilt lettered labels, red sprinkled edges (lightly rubbed at head and tail of spines and corners and boards a little scuffed - otherwise a VG set). Pp. xiv + [2] + 375 + [1] blank [&] viii + [2] + 390, with half titles, illlus with 1 coloured and 4 tinted plates (some with tissue-guards) and 6 woodcuts in text (light spotting on endpapers and toning on plates; no inscriptions).
