Beautifully bound in heavily tooled Brown Leather with bright Gilt spine title, 5 raised bands to spine and Black decoration to incisions to both bds (very little wear) Bright Gilt to all edges, Brown eps, pp x 230 with 28 fine steel engraved illus with tissue guards, plus 31 Wood cut illus. CONDITION illegible pencil inscription to ffep and copperplate gift insciption dated 1868 to first blank, browning and foxing mostly to pages near ends, text block bright. Old repair with archival tissue tape to tighten 2 loose gathers. A very good copy. Overweight. Reprint. Full-Leather. Very Good/N/A. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
