1770. Copper-line engraving. 240mm by 205mm (platemark). Nardini (1722-1793) was an Italian violinist and composer. He was music director at the ducal court in Florence from 1770, and a famous teacher (Thomas Linley was among his pupils). He wrote many violin sonatas and several concertos, duets etc in a pre-Classical style.
Small tear at top of sheet coming into platemark 5mm. Barely noticeable when mounted.
