London: C. Clarke, / T. Egerton, 1801. Printed by C. Clarke, Published by T. Egerton, 1801-2. Two volumes 8vo, First Thus (Clarke edition) and third edition overall of this work. Original dark green buckram with a little rubbing to the covers and edges. Brown label to the spine of each volume with titles in gilt. Complete with 52 aquatint plates, two maps and aquatint titles. The binding to the front of Volume I is a touched cracked (but holding). In Volume II an early gather (with the list of plates and first plate) are detached but present. Pages a little darkened and with some foxing, but still a very attractive copy. Some water damage to bottom edge of plates and text of Volume I. The only significant alteration between editions seems to have been the replacement of the "East View of Staines (Old) Bridge." xvi, 209; [iv], 258 pp. Abbey, Scenery..., 430. Cox, III, p. 180. Upcott, English Topography, CXLIII (Vol. III, pp. 768-770.) 240 x 170 mm (9½ x 6¾ inches). . Imprimé par C. Clarke, publié par T. Egerton, 1801-2. 2. In-8, premier Ainsi (édition Clarke) et troisième édition globale de cet ouvrage. Percaline vert foncé d'origine avec un peu de frottement sur les couvertures et les bords. Etiquette brune au dos de chaque volume avec titres dorés. Complet avec 52 planches aquatintes, 2 cartes et titres aquatintes. La reliure au début du vol. I est un touché fissuré (mais tenant) dans le vol II. une première cueillette (avec la liste des assiettes et 1ère assiette) est détachée mais présente. Pages un peu assombries et avec quelques rousseurs, mais reste un très bel exemplaire. La seule modification significative entre les éditions semble avoir été le remplacement de la "vue est du pont de Staines (ancien)". XVI, 209 ; [iv], 258 pp. Abbey, Scenery..., 430. Cox, III, p. 180.
