Hardcover. 32cm, Folio. in two volumes,ix,440 & xii(441)-880pp. with over 500 wood-engraved illustrations,steel-engraved half-titles and frontis views, in the publishers halfblack morocco grain, raised blind ruled bands, gilt titles and borderson the spines, black cloth boards with pictorial titles & decorations,marbled endpapers, inner linen hinges, all edges gilt, bevelled boards,on very heavy weight paper these volumes are nearly always shaken andworn, leather is a bit worn, still a very good sound, internally fineset. (cgc) One of the first comprehensive topographical view books tocover the entire country.
