Good- (shelfwear to covers, rear cover detached, pages have expected age toning, instances of foxing spots, stamp from art museum on borders of most plates). Bound in half brown leather and green cloth boards. Front cover has red and gilt lettering with black illustrations, spine has 5 raised bands, all edge gilt, illustrated end papers, XIX, 276 pp with bw illustrations; 80 plates in bw and color. Each plate accompanied by guard sheet illustrated on one side with descriptive letterpress on the other side. In five sections, each preceded by half-title, not included in paging. Contents include: Section I. General history -- section II. Applications -- section III. Technique -- section IV. Characteristics. Chinese art. Korean art.
