Hardcover has black and gold floral patterned cream-colored paper-covered boards, and blue cloth-covered spine; cloth covering extends halfway across covers (half-bound). Cloth has gold spine and cover lettering and decorations; front cover has silver castle illustration on cloth. Brown coated endpapers. Top page edges gilt. Black and white frontispiece, plates, and illustrations by J. F. Gueldry. High-quality glossy paper. Binding cracked in the advertisement section at the rear but still strong. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Boards exposed at tips. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing. Gold in floral print is faded, and paper on covers is tanned. Names in pencil on front endpapers. Pages clean and unmarked. 221 pages. No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
