Macmillan and Co, 1897. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1897. No Edition Stated. 158 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth with gilt titles to spine. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Publisher's adverts to rear. Rough cut pages. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Occasional minor marginalia and underlining. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Boards have heavy edge wear, with strong bumping to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Faint suggestion of water staining to rear. A few liquid droplet marks. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Gilt is dulled and worn.
