Albumen print, measuring 5 1/2 by 3 3/4 inches (photographer's printed cardstock mount measures 9 by 6 1/2 inches). Owner's contemporary, neat, ink date at lower right corner of the mount (in margin): "1892." Image has tiny spot of light wear at top edge, mount has light wear and faint crease at one corner, else in near fine condition. The photographer's printed cardstock mount is tipped onto a quarto sheet of plain white paper, with contemporary ink annotation, in an unknown hand, in lower margin: "George du Maurier, Artist and Novelist. Famous for his 'Society' sketches in Punch...". Albument print photographic portrait of George Du Maurier. Albumen print, measuring 5 1/2 by 3 3/4 inches (photographer's printed cardstock mount measures 9 by 6 1/2 inches). George du Maurier (1834-1896) was a French-born, British cartoonist and novelist.
