About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1963. Hardcover. Good/Poor. The series listing at the front of the book ends with this title. The interior is clean and tight. A former owner has left a small signature and date (1964) on the front free endpaper. There is a rough spot at the top of the half title page where something has been erased, but only occasional signs of previous use. The tweed covers are clean, but show rubs and missing colour at edges and corners. The dust jacket is shabby and is in Poor condition. It is not price-clipped, but shows considerable edge wear, and shallow edge tears and nicks. The rear flap contains a plot summary for "The Mystery of the Comanche Caves." The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "Bret King and his Rimrock Ranch cowboy pals volunteer to help Carl and Rick Conrad track down the horse thieves who have been plaguing their father's Colorado ranch. But the Rimrockers do not anticipate that they will be confronted with solving the mystery of a phantom wolf-man and a centuries-old riddle of a lost Spanish land grant.
