About This Item
Chicago, IL Goldsmith Publishing Co. 1937., 1937. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. Octavo, hardcover, orange boards with black design and lettering. A cheaply published book with pages very yellowed, hinges broken, tape on spine, else good reading copy. No dj. A mad sea captain sets out to sea to revenge himself on a killer whale. A boys' book; two young protagonists, both from New Bedford, one of whose dads had been badly smashed up by the same whale, Chili John, years before. The lads stow away on the captain's "Bedford Town, " and as they learn the whaling business in the course of the voyage, so do we. 249 pages.
