A smart first US edition of this Judge Dee detective story from Robert Van Gulik, with illustrations by the author. First US edition. Illustrated with nine images in the Chinese style. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. A tear to the rear endpaper. Near Fine
