Budapest: Szepirodalmi Konyvkiado, 1966. Hardcover. Near Fine +. Volume 2 of a 2-volume collection of poetry by Sándor Petofi who was a Hungarian poet (1823 - 1849) and liberal revolutionary. Considered Hungary's national poet, he one of the key figures of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. Although never proven, he is thought to have died in one of the last battles against the Austrian Empire. Dark blue leatherette flexible binding. 583 pages with index. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
