An illustrated edition of this work in the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding, with a colour plate inset to the front board and spine. A naval adventure novel by English novelist William Henry Giles Kingston (1814-1880), who was well-known as a writer of adventurous tales for boys. Other popular works by Kingston include: 'Peter the Whaler', 'Blue Jackets', and 'Digby Heathcote'. Eighteen pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with a little fading to the spine, small marks to the rear board and light shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for offsetting to the end papers. Very Good
