About This Item
Second volume in the Yale University Library Western Historical Series. This copy is number 19 of 500 copies. Quarter tan cloth and brown paper covered boards, gilt stripe on front board, gilt lettering on spine. Glassine dust jacket present but in poor condition. Three maps housed in a separate near fine slipcase (small nick to bottom edge.) Pond, a native of Connecticut, was a soldier in the French and Indian war, fur trapper, explorer, cartographer, and a founding member of the North West Company.
