Early Octavo Issue. 16 colour plates by Arthur Rackham and with two extra colourplates tipped to the upper covers of the cloth and the dustjacket. 8vo, original green cloth lettered in gilt on the spine and upper cover and decorated with a pictorial pastedown by Rackham on the upper cover. vi, 126. Avery bright copy, gilt mellowed by age at the spine, but the cloth very clean and well preserved and still quite fresh and without rubbing. A HANDSOME COPY OF AN EARLY PRINTING. “Mr. Rackham seems to have dropped out of some cloud in Mr. Barrie’s fairyland, sent by a special providence to make pictures in tune with his whimsical genius.”-Pall Mall Gazette. Rackham's most desirable book, becoming scarce even in the later editions.
