About This Item
New York: Barnes & Noble , 2014. 1st Edition 5th or later Printing. Hardcover. New. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. F.D. Bedford, Danielle Deschenes, Craig Wetzel, Patrice Kaplan. New, and pristine. Removed from publisher's shrinkwrap for scanning and description only. See all scans and description. New York: Barnes & Noble, 2014. Early printing of this first-thus B&N edition and a popular decorating piece. Octavo, blue bonded leather boards which are exquisitely decorated (with the work of Patrice Kaplan) on front cover, rear cover, and spine with silver and metallic green illustrations and border piping, with the large silver areas themselves decorated inside with rainbow-iridescent spangles in varied tiny star shapes (impossible to see in scans), and of course the centerpiece, Danielle Deschenes' glossy oval pastedown illustration of Peter and Wendy. 'Neverland' Map endpapers (the work of Craig Wetzel), front and rear; 23 F.D. Bedford illustrations - the frontis being in color (scan), the remaining 22 being monotone with green decorative borders (scan); silver satin page-marker ribbon; All Edges Silver; 8 + 191 pp. New, and absolutely pristine. Removed from publisher's shrinkwrap for scanning and description, then placed in sealed archival storage - with that removed shrinkwrap and its label, which will accompany the book, if so desired by purchaser. There is no more timeless piece of fiction for 'children of all ages', of course; and there is no more beautifully designed edition of it. Collectible early printing of the first edition thus. See all scans. Put this on the shelf or a safe place on the cocktail table - for reading, you already have other editions of the story. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag.
