About This Item

This is a third impression (1968) of Peter Carl Faberge, Goldsmith and Jeweller to the Russian Imperial Court, His Life and Work, written by the English author Henry Charles Bainbridge and first published in 1949. Bainbridge was Faberge's friend, and manager of the Faberge branch in London. So this book has a lot of personal detail about the great jeweler, and his pieces. There are 17 color plates and 112 black and white, showing an array of his magnificent creations. 167 pages, 8 3/4" x 11 1/2" x 1 1/2". This is a high-quality book and is a little heavy. The dust jacket has shelfwear, mainly at the top, where you can also see price tag remnants. Aside from minor darkening of the paper, the book itself is in perfect condition.
