Very good copies, bound in gilt-blocked, paper-covered boards, with some light dulling and rubbing noticeable to the spine ends and panel edges. There is also some surface wear evident on the front panel of each volume. Internally, pages are very clean, although there is some scattered, marginal foxing around the prelim. pages of both volumes. There is also some burn marks across 2 sections page edges of volume 1. Please note that these marks encroach only slightly to the page margins, with the text and images remaining unaffected. Remains particularly and surprisingly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and especially sharp-cornered; 254 pages; Limited. No. 25 of 70 sets on japanese vellum SIGNED by both artist and publisher. 4 ORIGINAL etchings, all signed. Description: xvii, 254 p. Front. , illus. plates (some colour), ports. , 2 mounted facsim. 29 cm. Subjects: Artists --Correspondence, reminiscences, etc. Notes: 12 heavy card facsimiles of assorted letters and correspondence included in the rear pocket of volume 1.
