Original dark blue boards with a monogram of the author on the front board, untrimmed front edge of text block, top edge tinted blue (somewhat faded), with a slight bumping of the corners, previous owner's bookplate on front end page. There is a horizontal tear to the top back strip edge – please see photograph. The author who wrote among other books "Showboat" offers her biography from the age of 12 through to the year 1939."
