Paris: Les Horizons de France, 1954. Soft cover. Very Good. Wraps with glassine cover. Some notation on glassine. Previous owner's name on ffep, else book is clean. Avec des portraits et fac-similes de dessins et pages de carnets inedits. 16 plates including portrait frontispiece. 130, [2] pp. 7.5 x 5.5 inches. French language. This copy is from the collection of French and Romance Language specialist Reino Virtanen (1910-1987). Virtanen taught at the University of Nebraska from 1954 to 1978 and was a guest professor at UCLA. He was the author of several books, including "The Scientific Analogies of Paul Valery." He purchased this book while on a research sabbatical in Paris during the summer of 1962.
