Edinburgh: J. Wood, 1751. Four volumes.Latin text throughout. Contemporary full tree calf, gilt ruled comaprtments to the spines, with red and black labels bearing author : "Livius" and volume number. Volumes one: 1764, title page, 439 pages. Volume two : 1751, 552 pages. Volume three : 1751, 511 pages. Volume four : 1751, 457 pages, plus the index which is without pagination. Volume one is a later date than volumes 2, 3 and 4. Very good set, all bindings sound, and all complete and in good order. Offsetting to pastedowns, browned page edges, and a few pages with water staining to volume four. Pages mainly all quite clean throughout. Armorial ownership bookplate to pastedown of volume one. Very good set with all bindings sound and solid.. First Edition. Full Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
