Toronto: McClelland & Stewart. Fair. 1933. First Edition. Hardcover. 329 p. 20 cm. Meets all points for a first edition as per Frank and Juanita Lechowick's collector's guide to L.M. Montgomery. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Both boards have moisture damage along the fore-edges and some rippling to the cloth of the lower edges. The spine is faded. The top edge is faded and has some scratches and spotting. Inside, there is a gift inscription dated 1934 on the front free endpaper. The frontispiece is rippled. A little foxing to the final few pages. Otherwise, clean and unmarked with slight toning. The story of a girl named Pat Gardiner and her love for her home Silver Bush. .
