About This Item

London: Collins, 1960. First edition, first printing. Published by Collins, London, in 1960. Complete with original yellow promotional wrap-around band reading, on the spine, "read what Ian Fleming says"; a review By Fleming is present on the front panel. The dust wrapper, designed by Barbara Walton, is bright and generally without notable wear. There is slight rubbing present at the corners; it has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s. net price. The boards are free from chips and marks and are not faded. The text blocks are generally bright and clean throughout. There is a small, neat previous owners inscription to the front flyleaf in blue ink. Overall, this is a near fine copy. Mather was brought in by Eon to work on the screenplay of Dr No- a fantastic Bond connection.
