London; Printed by J, Davy, 1820., 1820. Hard Cover. Small quarto (approx 21 cm x 13 cm), pp. [4], [65]-119, [3]. Polished half calf with gilt titles to spine and marbled paper-covered boards. Leather scuffed with slight wear at spine tips and corners; boards rubbed with wear to edge. From the library of Robert Surtees, with "Mainsforth Library " plate to front paste-down and his tidy ownership inscription to ffep; minor loss at extreme tip ffep. A little scattered foxing; annotation in ink to the Days of Sale table to rear listing sales per day and total raised. A Very Good copy. Rare- Copac/OCLC locate no institutional copies. Richard Miles (1740-1819) was a dealer in coins and medals and the authority on the subject in his time; the sale of his collection was a major event in numismatic circles, and it included Roman, Greek and oriental coins, as well as tokens and medals from many different sources.
