Hardback, 1856, third edition, signed/inscribed by author on FFEP: "The Rev. with Rev. C. Clayton's best wishes, 1861."
In decent condition for age, clear marking and discolouration to spine and boards with wear noticeable at top and bottom of spine. Bumped corners. Gift inscription on front pastedown. Binding strained in place, part of textblock towards middle of book loose, though still attached. Hinges holding. Browning/foxing to page edges and to page surfaces. Page edges deckled, showing signs of having been cut at some point to separate them. Otherwise clean apart from the odd mark here and there, with no underling, marginalia, etc.
