LONDON: A.R.MOWBRAY & CO, 1954 Cream Boards with gilt titles to spine, 190 x 125 mm approx. 178 pp. First Edition 1954. Warmly inscribed and signed in ink to the free front end paper by the author at the East London Church Congress 1954. Joost de Blank (14 November 1908 – 1 January 1968) the Dutch-born British Anglican bishop was Archbishop of Cape Town, South Africa from 1957 to 1963 and known as the "scourge of apartheid" for his ardent opposition to the whites-only policies of the South African government. (Wikipedia). VG/VG (Book - light bump to top front corner and a little shelf soiling to extremities, insc. as above to f.f.e.p. Dust Jacket- moderate shelf rubbing with 2 mm approx loss arond head and corner tips, a couple of small tears - max 5 mm approx and a little general shelf soiling/ tanning particularly to exposed top edges of flap folds. No other notable defects to book or jacket, the latter now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve, not price clipped 9/6).
