About This Item
[Washinton DC]: US GPO, 1878. Paperback. Respectively 391-431; 345-418; 303-341; 165-361p., each item a sewn textblock under paste-fastened dull pink wraps, a matching format. The only illustrated section we have of what must have been a lengthy series of "reports" is Campbell's Horticulture which provides many simple steel-engraved images of implements and produce (most especially of wine grapes). Dust-soil and chipping to pink covers are the sole flaws we see, else generally sound, clean within and almost unmarked (holograph numerals were anciently added to upper cover corners, we know not why). A good little sampling, the four together.
