Leicester; Twelve By Eight, 1963., 1963. Hard Cover. FIRST THUS: SIGNED by the Author. Octavo, pp. 95, [1]. Frontispiece photograph of the Author making paper laid-on to verso half-title, with signature below in black ink; 7 tipped-in paper specimens; line drawings by Rigby Graham within text. White limp cloth with gilt titles to spine and gilt motif of the tools of the trade to upper board, housed in plain card drop-back box. Slight creases to boards from box flaps otherwise a Fine copy. Signed by the Author to verso half title; no annotation or inscriptions. Box scuffed and creased with wear to extremities. Mason, the book binder and lecturer, was unable to buy a large enough supply of special paper for his bindery work following the Second World War, so he experimented at home and produced his own. This practical guide gives detailed and precise instructions for any other prospective paper-makers, and this edition was amended and republished by the Author.
