1951. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 7 1/4" x 6 1/2. Lenski, Lois. I. GOOD / NO DUST JACKET. Former Library Book. In Burmese and English. [unpaged] about 46 pages. Text clean and unmarked except for usual library treatments. Pages toned. Illustrated throughout in monochrome blue. Blue cloth boards lettered in gilt at front and spine. Boards slightly scuffed, top edges bumped, corners slightly rubbed. Joints and hinges good, binding firm.
Synopsis
Lois Lenski was a prolific author and illustrator of classic books for children; from picture books to plays, regional historical fiction, poetry, and songbooks, her work was always playful, ever educational. She is counted among the most influential author-illustrators of the 20th century. Bestowed the Newbery Medal for Strawberry Girl , and twice attaining the Newbery Honor, she died in 1974.
