"This vast area has become one of America's outstanding vacation and recreational playgrounds. Its many natural, and man-made, attractions annually draw millions of visitors. The equable, healthful year 'round climate, with its guarantee of lots of sunshine ... the variety of sports and entertainment, informal hospitality, together with the splendid transportation facilities serving the area, are other reasons for its popularity. Assuring the visitor of excellent accommodations are numerous air-conditioned hotels, commercial resort or lodge type, as well as guest ranches."
