About This Item
Good. Panorama silver gel photograph depicting a farming scene in Lidgerwood, North Dakota. This image was likely taken in the early 20th century. Photograph measures 15 ½" X 4 ¾" and is on a contemporary grey mount and a modern white cardstock mount. The contemporary mount reads "F.W. Gotson (?), Lidgerwood, N.D." Contemporary manuscript on verso reading: "Brown Family (My Mother's family), Liderwood No. Dak. - Uncle Cecil, Harry - Uncle Henry and Ardys(?) Goalsbey(?)." Overall good. Photo has moderate soiling and light silvering. Modern mount is glued to contemporary mount; contemporary mount has four tears along bottom edge, likely happening when someone tried to remove modern mount. This image depicts a family and crew taking a moment from work and posing in their farm, with their crop surrounding them. The image depicts some neat farm equipment, men, women and children (one woman is in the midst of pouring tea for another), and four buildings (houses, barns and outbuildings). .
