London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1930. First edition thus. Leather_bound. Poor. Previoulsy published as two books in 1929. This copy is personally signed by Gerald Bullett to H G Wells "To H G Wells from Gerald Bullett 12 Oct. 1930" This book came from H G Wells' daugther, Annajane Kennard's library in New Zealand where she died. Some insect damage to the front cover. This library sat on the docks in Singapore for a time as it during the second world war and the ship was held up there. So the book is in poor shape: The front board with attached, signed endpaper is detached, There are insect holes in the front board and some pin holes trough the first few pages, the spine is missing, the rear board and a few pages with it is also detached but no pages missing, green leather covered boards. 526 pages.
