Boston: Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, 1853. First edition.. Two volumes. Brown cloth stamped in blind, spines lettered in gilt. Shallow chipping to spine ends, a couple of worn spots on the front hinge of Volume I; a clean very good set otherwise. Palissy was a French Huguenot potter and engineer.
