Chicago: Ralph Fletcher Seymour, 1953. First edition. Hardcover. Fair/Fair. 9 3/4 x 7. 1F. Cloth-covered boards, in dustjacket. Signed by Mertz (no inscription) on the front free endpaper. Real cloth covers are ***heavily foxed***, with numberous spots of dye loss (see photos); the page edges and a little of the endpapers are also foxed. . Spine lean. Pastedowns browned over the glue-line. Dustjacket is complete but front panel and spine are stained (see photo), the spine is sunned, and the jacket is generally rather grubby.
