New York: Watson-Guptill Publications, 1967. FIRST EDITION THUS, SECOND PRINTING STATED. Hardcover, with the ORIGINAL PRICE-CLIPPED DUST JACKET. NEAR FINE/VERY GOOD PLUS. HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents PAINTING MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES by FREDERIC TAUBES, who was an internationally known artist exhibiting at the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, and was the American editor of THE ARTIST magazine. 5 5/8" x 8", 160 page hard cover, including index, along with the ORIGINAL PRICE-CLIPPED DUST JACKET. Overall book condition is NEAR FINE. Pages = Fine: slightly yellowed, front reverse cover and first fep foxed, yet very tight, stand-out clear, sharp, with no marks. Cover (blue cloth boards with gold gilt particulars on spine only) = Very Good Plus: some spotting bottom of front and middle left on back, very little rubbing, else tight, sharp, clear print, square. ORIGINAL DUST JACKET (two-toned green glossy paper with superimposed photo of art supplies on front, particulars and details in white and black) = Very Good Plus: some chipping to top of front, slight rubbing to spine, 1/2" rip top of back, else clear, whole, very colorful. RARE.
