The first edition of this charming volume by Arthur Watts, a noted illustrator and artist. A stunningly illustrated volume by the author, containing a miscellany of poems by various popular authors such as Robert Browning, Robert Burns, Lord Byron, Geoffrey Chaucer, John Milton, Thomas Sackville, Percy Shelley, and many others. A true ode to art and its beauty, Watts illustrates this volume with twelve stunning colourful plates and eight in half tone tipped in. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. With a faint spotting to the boards, as usual. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only a faint minor scattered spotting to the first and last couple. Illustrated with twelve stunning colourful plates and eight in half tone tipped in. Collated, complete.  Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
