Covers have a touch of wear to corners, otherwise sharp and clean. Text block clean, lovely. Feels very carefully read. Near fine condition. Signed to limitation page by Barker. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. Edited by Phil and Sarah Stokes, The Painter, the Creature and the Father of Lies collects Clive Barker's non-fiction writing from 1982 to 2017. Originally published in 2011, this newly revised edition is updated to include all of Clive's more recently published pieces together with a newly discovered and previously unpublished introduction to the Books of Blood from 1982. This edition also features 11 additional pieces of interior artwork, making 46 in total. This copy is one of the first 500 copies numbered 157/500 and comes with a bound in postcard along with the hand-numbered limitation sheet signed by Clive Barker. A very difficult title to find, a fantastic and scarce addition for a signed Clive Barker collection.
