Dust jacket bright and colourful with minimal signs of shelfwear, front cover: an illustration of an experiment in clockwork by William Murray Junior of Bellingham, Northumberland c.1849 and to the spine an eight day dial from a longcase clock of c.1840, the rear cover: an eight day white dial clock by Thomas Husband of Hull c.1790. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt lettering very clean and tidy, endpapers decorated with moon discs, colour frontispiece: eight day dial of a longcase clock c.1830 and the title page illustration: the detail from the arch of a longcase clock c.1840-50, further colour and black/white illustrations throughout, text printed on Consort Royal Satin paper, clean, unmarked, binding sound, a very neat and tidy copy.. Hard. Very Good Plus/Very Good Plus. 4to.
