About This Item
London: Methuen & Co. Ltd, 1934. 1st Edition Thus. Brown Cloth. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 153pp. A lovely copy with wrapper, one of Methuen's Library of Humour. Light fading to the tail of the spine where the wrapper is lost and slight mottling to the tail of the rear board. The cloth at the head and tail of the spine is slightly turned in. Slight fore edge foxing and a few slight foxspots to the half title and title page. The book has a little spine lean. Previous owners name and date ink stamp to the front paste down with an associated number. Clean and tight. Original dust wrapper with light sunning to the spine of the wrapper. There is a reduced price sticker to the front of the wrapper and a little scattered light soiling to the wrapper. Chipping of no more than 1 cm to the head and tail of the spine of the wrapper with partial loss of the word Metheun and Childrens from the wrapper. Light crease to the front inner flyleaf. Despite these faults the wrapper remains in reasonable condition for its age. A very good copy.
