New York: Clarkson N. Potter, Inc., 1977 300 numbered pp (+3); HB w/ DJ. Inscribed to baseball's Rob Snow and signed by the author as well as several of his family members on sfep. Pages: clean, bright, tight, green edgestain, green eps, frontis, brown ink on cream paper; 1 pg has oily fingerprint, 1 p has lt food stain. Cover: taupe, gilt titles spine; minimal shelfwear. DJ: unclipped, kraft paper w/green artwork front, gilt/brown titles front/spine, and brown text back; minimal edge/shelfwear, back flap creased. The story of a most colorful family and their part in the settlement of Oysterville, Washington, which today remains a small, lovely hamlet set on the shores of Willapa Bay. Author Willard Espy loved word play, and the book is lively and highly entertaining.
