Suntup Press. As New. 2022. Artist Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. As New, but taken out of shrinkwrap. DJ now with a brodart cover. The Artist Edition, limited to 750 unnumbered copies, signed by the artist Jeff Echevarria. It is the only edition coming with a wrap around dust jacket illustrated by Echevarria. Smyth sewn with a full cloth binding and two hts foil blocking on the cover. Endsheets embossed Rainbow paper and housed in a slipcase covered in 100% cotton cloth with an aqueous acrylic coating. ; Signed by Illustrator .
Synopsis
"The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton is a poignant coming-of-age novel set in the 1960s. It revolves around the lives of two rival gangs, the working-class Greasers and the affluent Socs. The story is narrated by Ponyboy Curtis, a Greaser who grapples with issues of identity and belonging. When a tragic event occurs, Ponyboy and his fellow Greasers are forced to confront the harsh realities of their existence, challenging their perceptions of the world and their place in it. The Outsiders has been required reading in all the schools I have taught. It's dated, but it can be tied into bullying, which is a hot topic now. It also helps that you can reward the kids with watching the movie after reading the book and taking the AR test.
