London: George Routledge and Sons, 1868. Hardcover. Good ++. Dalziel Brothers. Translated by H. W. Dulken, PH.D.With Seventy engravings by the Brothers Dalziel. Burgundy cloth bevelled edge boards, Gilt title to front. Boards a little dulled and marked, bumped and rubbed at corners, gilt rubbed from some letters in title. Top layer of cloth has worn away from spine leaving it without lettering. First and last hinge has possibly been previously repaired / reinforced. Colour frontispiece, previous owner's name in faint pencil to ffep. Light toning to pages, particularly opposite colour illustrations, and scattered foxing throughout, but very good clean and tight. Catalogue of Hans Anderson Library and Dalziel's Fine Art Books to the rear.
