No dustwrapper, some scuffing to spine ends and bumping to corners of red boards, also some fading to spine of same but gilt titles and decoration thereon are still clear, as is the gilt title panel on front board. An early owner's name and date (1932) on f/ep, otherwise a good clean tight copy of ths slim hard-cover book. A pocket-sized "Pocket Classics" edition from the publisher. Originally published between 1824 and 1832, a series of short pieces depicting life in the village of Three Mile Cross, near Reading. Introduction by Anne Thackeray Ritchie. 256pp, numerous b&w drawings throughout.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Thomson, Hugh. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
