No inscriptions or annotations. 209 pp. Original maroon cloth boards with gilt lettering on the spine, boards in very good condition. Octavo. 8vo. A collection of the author's essays bordering on autobiography. The essays here have already in large part been published in the Turin newspaper 'La Stampa' written around 1985. Primo Levi died in Turin, Italy, in 1987, so this English publication is postumous. "An extraordinary collection of powerful, elegant essays and a stunning portrait of a warm and humorous man writing on some of the things that interest him most." .
