The book is tight with solid hinges, good tips, and clean grey cloth boards. Spine ends gently pushed. The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. The dust jacket is unclipped (26.95) with faint wear to the spine head, else Fine. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 296 pages. 6¼ x 9¼" tall. ALSO INCLUDES The Brigertons bookmark and "Just Like Heaven" magnet.

Summer, 1786, and Poppy Bridgerton is feeling a little bored. Suitors have been disappointingly dull, and her visit with an old friend is a bit tedious. That, however, changes radically when she stumbles across a cave on her walk by the shore, where she is kidnapped, taken aboard the ship, bound, gagged, and left on the captain's bed.

That she falls in love with the handsome captain of the ship comes as no surprise. Not only does he treat her well (under the circumstances), but they soon learn to enjoy one another's company. Although she does not know it, he is actually her cousin's brother-in-law, serving his country on a secret mission. However, the second abduction, at the hands of Portuguese brigands, is much more dangerous.
