Original Stationary, Envelope and Photo Postcard from the Famed Zeppelin - The Hindenburg

Germany, 1936 Circa 1936-1937. Original, unused stationary from the Hindenburg Airship LZ 129. A rare piece of aviation history, from the short lived Luftschiff Zeppelin #129, with its first flight being on March 1936 operating until its destruction by fire on May 6, 1937 at Lakehurst, New Jersey, 14 months later. Operated by the German Zeppelin Airline Company, Deutsche Zeppelin - Reederei, which had been established by Hermann Goring in March 1935, to increase Nazi influence over airship operations, as well as being used as a propaganda tool. Item #1 - A fine, unused, parchment sheet of paper measuring approximately 11-3/4" high by 8-1/4" wide, with the letterhead "Luftschiff, Hindenburg, An Bord", with the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei logo in color. Item # 2 - Unused envelope with the Zeppelin logo on the back, and "Luftschiff Hindenburg" on the front. Item #3 - A black and white photo postcard showing a group of well dressed passengers, with Captain Max Pruss, in front of looming Nazi flag. Captain Pruss was commandeering the Hindenburg when it crashed, sustaining severe burns. Envelope shows edge wear with creases, stationary is folded to fit in envelope. Own a piece of history.
